About the Speaker: Way Yee Bay
Way Yee Bay is a full time consultant of CME Group working with the Bank and Intermediary Clients Development and Sales team.
He was the executive director of CME group where he was responsible for client development and sales to banks; prior to assuming this role he was the head of interest rate products for CME Group in Asia.
Mr. Bay holds senior management experience in companies such as ISDA Asia-Pacific, Sofizo International Pte Ltd and Deloitte and Touche Singapore. He has also spent ten years with United Overseas Bank as a senior derivatives trader and later as the head of group market risk management. During his seven years’ stint as a senior derivatives trader, he was responsible for running the Nikkei Index Options book and trading of the Nikkei Index and JGB futures. In group market risk management of UOB he was responsible for managing all the trading and investment risk of the bank group.
Mr Bay holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B Eng), a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and is a charter holder of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accounts (FCCA), a member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (CA Singapore), a fellow member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb), a fellow member of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators (FSIArb), an adjudicator and arbitrator on both panels of Kuala Lumpur Regional Centre of Arbitration (“KLRCA”).
